Well, yesterday was a bit of a shit show. As mentioned in my last post, I didn't have a great start to the day, which carried over the
majority of the day. Don't get me wrong, I was motivated, but in other ways. I
did some reorganizing of our cupboards, and it was fantastic, but when it
came time to get moving, things just seemed harder.
I
ended up doing a core work out for 20 minuets or there-abouts. I read a
pretty helpful blog post and decided to give it a go. Turns out, it’s
harder then it looks. Side planks are no fun at all!
In the end, I was disappointed, but grateful that I did something.
I did
get my face routine done and I read for about 20 minuets. I
was aiming for longer, however, as mentioned before, shit show.
Over
all, it was a great result for such a crappy day.
Moving
on, we have today. My goals included:
10
min elliptical, 30 min legs/booy work out, 30 min read & skin care.
Turns
out, today was a great day! It’s not over yet, however, I have done my booty
work out! 36 minuets! I did some light stretching and a tiny bit of jog then got right into it.
Here’s
the break down:
10
x backward lunges, each side, weighted.
20
x sumo squats, weighted.
10
x standing leg lifts, each side, weighted.
20
x standing kick backs, each leg.
30
sec wall squat.
20
x donkey kicks, each side.
10
x fire hydrants, each side.
20
x hip abductors, banded.
20
x bridges.
20
x clams, each leg, banded.
20
x single leg foggy glute lifts, each side
10
x froggy glute lift
Oof, that felt painful just to type! I’ve done a bit of research into this area, as it’s a bit of a trouble spot for me. These are things that I’ve found will help increase the glutes and help with my hip issues and possibly lower back issues too!
I did skip the elliptical again, simply because it's outside and it was cold and foggy! haha. Hopefully tomorrow.
Which leads to tomorrow's work out. Again, 10 min elliptical, 30 min upper body, 30 min read, skin care routine and maybe, just maybe, a 10 min meditation.
That’ll do it for today.
Cheers.
